Membership Committee

Co-Chairs: Rebecca Blair, Carol Miller

Mission:

The mission of the Membership Committee (MC) is to increase membership through recruitment, welcome new members, facilitate onboarding, encourage participation and aid in the retention of members.

Tasks:

Stage One – Inquiries/Prospective Members

Receive inquiries, log contact info into Google Form, send welcome email, contact “Welcome Caller” with info. “Welcome Caller” phones prospect, introduces our group and what we do, answers questions, invites to next monthly meeting, logs result of call.

Check status of application, and if applied and dues are paid, prospect becomes New Member and goes to Stage Two.

Stage Two – New Member

Review new member information, are they a Spotter or a Dog Team? If they want to be a Dog Team, if they don’t have a CGC already, they need to obtain this, and we give some guidance about this.

If they have a CGC or they wish to be a Spotter, send to Orientation, provide them with a shirt and badge, and a bag and bandana if they have a dog.

After they have attended Orientation, notify the appropriate Regional Coordinator.

Log date of Orientation and which RC was notified.

Add new member to website table, create a user account, send email with login information to new member.

Other Functions – Attract new members

Contact trainers, groomers, vets, doggy daycares, etc. to try to locate trained dogs to bring into the group.

Come up with other ideas that might help grow our membership.
